Two goals after the break helped Laurent Blanc’s men beat Shakhtar, who will now drop into the Europe League
Shakhtar Donetsk qualified for the Europa League despite going down 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in France on Tuesday.
Lucas Moura scored the game’s first goal for PSG, who had already qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League.
And with time running out, Zlatan Ibrahimovic put the gloss on the win.
Malmo’s heavy defeat in Madrid, though, means Shakhtar finish third in the group and will still be involved in European football in the new year – albeit the Europa League.
